What do I need to know about my venue before I get there?

Mayowood Stone Barn, Rochester MN

There is a lot of important information to gather from the venue before you even leave for your show. The information not only helps you, but helps the venue as they will receive information about what you need. Regardless of its your first time at the venue or your 50th, you must call the venue ahead of time in order to touch base and ensure you are on the same page. It will make a world of a difference in your relationship with the banquet manager on the big day.

Here are a few things to be sure to go over during the client call:

1. Know where to load-in.

2. Make sure you will have a table with a curtain.

3. Confirm the timeline and inform them of your arrival time.

4. Ask about any special considerations or policies.

5. Ask who from the venue will be your main point of contact.

Also, be sure to look at the venue database blog to see what our DJs say about the venue.
