What do I do if I don't have enough uplight power cords?

Hopefully, you will have enough power cords to go along with your uplights. However, my human error is always a possibility and you may find yourself short a cord or two.

If this occurs, understand that your speaker power cords are the exact same cords as the uplight power cords. Grab your backup speaker power cord and use that for the uplight that is missing a power cord.

If you can't use the backup speaker power or are missing multiple cords, you can chain the lights together with the specialized extension cords in the uplight box. Simply plug an extension cord into a light that is already plugged in (there should be two plug-ins on the uplight) then plug that extension cord into the uplight that is not plugged in. This will turn on the uplight without you having to plug the uplight in at all. (NOTE: This method only works with the newer looking uplights. If you have 'Blizzard' uplights, you will not be able to chain the lights together).

If this still isn't working, give the tech a call and see if there's any chance he could bring a cord out for you. If he/she can't immediately help, don't let it bother you. Set up as many uplights as you're able to and move on. If for whatever reason the client notices and asks you about it, politely tell them you were not given the amount of power cords you need for the uplights and our weekend supervisor has been made aware of the situation and will help as soon as it's possible.

It's important for me not to put you in a situation like this, because I know from experience it can be stressful and could make you look bad when it's not at all your fault. As a part of my uplight process, I double check to ensure there are enough cords.
