What do you tell a guest when they request a song?

If you don’t have it?

‘I don’t have that one, but I do have ___ by the same artist
‘I’m sorry I don’t have that with me. Is there something else I can play for you?’
‘Sorry, I don’t have that particular song with me tonight.’

If you don’t think it’s appropriate?
‘That’s a good song, but I’m not sure it’s the best song for tonight. Is there something else I can play?’

‘I will try my best to get it played’ or just tell them the truth that it isn’t appropriate and tell them you will ask the bride/groom how they feel. Tell them it is a request, but you wanted to check how they felt first. The bride/groom will appreciate that you care about trying to please them.

If you don’t think it will work?
‘That’s a great song, but i’m not sure this crowd will dance to that song. I’ve already it at a previous wedding and it didn’t work very well.’

‘I have a lot of requests from the bride and groom, but I will try my best to get it played for you.

If you have it?
‘I already have it on the playlist. I’ll do the best I can to play it soon.’
